Good News and Bad News
Cities across the state held Earth Day celebrations this past weekend, and our volunteer petitioners exceeded expectations by gathering thousands of signatures in just two days. We're still notarizing and counting all of them, but the haul appears to be around 5,000 signatures, pushing us towards 20,000 signatures total!
The bad news is that we have used up nearly all of our blank petitions. In fact, the number of signers was so overwhelming in Columbia that our team ran out of petitions before the event ended. We have rushed 600 more petitions to the area, but that will not last long and almost completely depletes our reserves.
That's a good problem to have, but it's still something we have to solve, and we need your help to solve it! To keep our petitioners collecting, we need to print at least 10,000 blank petitions, and we also hope to add window signs for our permanent signing locations and "I Signed Stickers" to the order to help raise awareness and attract more voters to sign. Printing all of that could easily cost $5,000, and, at the moment, we cannot cover that expense.
Keep our petitions in circulation by making a contribution of $15, $25, $50, or $100 now!
Our volunteers perform incredibly well week in and week out, but their efforts won't amount to anything if we can't provide them with the basic tools they need to be successful. Don't allow that to happen! Contribute now to keep petitions in the hands of our volunteers and bring medical cannabis to the ballot in 2018!
